Hey Friends,

I wanted to give y’all a quick status update on vibes, photos, and music.

Today I launched a new Instagram handle dedicated to my newfound passion of photography. I have been taking photos and posting them on my main profile as a creative outlet since last November—it helps me unwind, connect with my environment, be more present in the moment, and it allows me to grow both as a person and as an artist. Ps: I’ve been making a bunch of music and will start releasing them at one point. I’m currently taking my time unearthing that half-forgotten passion that started it all a long time ago and what increasingly got replaced with a mundane sense of chore. ~20 years of professional music-making burnt me out, left me jaded, and made me not like or desire the process. What started as a form of self-expression turned into a business and transformed me into trying to please followers and focus on what I thought people wanted to hear. A few years ago, unlinking my music from paying the bills was the most liberating thing that had happened in a long while and it is now allowing me to rediscover that core motivation that kicked it all into gear—the reason I started making music in the first place. That is to express how things sound in my head and certainly not to meet other people’s expectations or preferences. Stay tuned for lots of new music, updates to follow soon, when the time is right.
